From 1970 the farm was used to grow mainly cereals and potatoes, as well as keeping a few sheep. However, from 1989 these 200 acres have been sown with turf grass, which is now harvested on average every 18 months. David and Veronica also started the B & B business in 1989 with three rooms in the farmhouse, subsequently converting the stable block to provide 16 luxury en-suite bedrooms.
The oldest part of the stable block is believed to be about 300 years old with the roof timbers dating back a further 50-60 years. Many of the original features were preserved during its conversion, whilst ensuring that the rooms have all the features you’d expect from award-winning, 4-star accommodation.
